Griesheim. It is a smaller city. But only about an hour away from Frankfurt AM. It is very loving city and recommended. |

Hi,
I'm German.
Berlin really is a nice city to live in with much culture and history.
Flats to rent or buy are also very cheap.
But other living costs like food will nearly be the same than in other (West) German cities.
München is also very lovely, but with thewer inhabitants and a better economic situation.
Therefore flats cost the doble price compared to Berlin. |

Cologne would be my recommendation :) www.koeln.de |

I live in Augsburg, but my favorite city is Heidelberg.
Looking for work and choosing a city . . . that is a tough one. Why don't you look at your skills and shop around to the different German cities and what services/products they specialize in. |

Berlin - a cheap city, although many poor people live there. Culturally there is tons to do for young people.
Rent and living costs will be more expensive in the west, but you are from Norway, so things should be cheap for you here.
München - I hear it is a very nice city and might be more work opportunities.
Look for work in the Rhein regions in cities like Düsseldorf, Essen, Mainz, as it is the most industrialized and offers the most work. |
