Since your close- try to take a tour of Sachsenhousen- The concentration camp right outside of Berlin. Changed my life- You can also take "free tours" which are litterally free and all over Europe and very good. The Berlin Subway is very nice and that should get you around well. Germany is an amazing country- best of travels!
