What baby food is available in Germany?

I'll be travelling there with an 11 month old this summer.
Curious if I should bring my own food or if they will have similar products there that we find in Canada..
such as Heinz.

Please - leave Heinz and Gerber at home! Once your baby has sampled some of the local brands (which are controlled VERY tightly!) it won´t go back.. lol.. Gerber tastes like cardboard to me (and my kids) but the all love the brands in Germany such as Alete, Hipp, Bebivita etc.
If you like a certain formula though, you might want to bring it since your baby is used to it. In case you run out, there are some that are the same, such as Carnation Good Starts is actually almost similar to Beba here. Both Nestlé.. smile..
Don´t worry about bringing stuff, you´ll find great foods here for your baby. If you didn´t already do so, try to find a "Happy Baby Food Grinder" which travels easily and you can simply grind down the foods you´re eating for your baby. We are ALWAYS on the go and the one I have was worth every cent!
Hope you enjoy your trip!

HIPP is the most popular baby food in Germany. The website is http://www.hipp.de

Click on the blue button named Produkte.... then click on how many months old your baby is..... BAM... you can see what they sell for that age group...

Fruchte is Fruit
Gemuse is vegetables
Getranke is drinks

I've never actually shopped for baby food in Germany, so I won't be much help. However, I think the safest thing would be to bring your own. I'm sure they have baby food, but whether or not they have baby food that your baby will like is another question. If you take your own then at least you know that you will have something for the baby to eat. It would be terrible if you go there without your regular baby food, only to discover that your baby doesn't like German baby food.

Sorry I couldn't give you any more information.
