Are you single? Either way, check out Sachsenhausen - not so good during the week, but hopping on weekends. Check out the Roemer, reconstructed old town - not exactly fake, but only the facades were left standing after WW2. If you want to see some interesting social settings, check out the Bahnhofsviertel - near the main train station. Not exactly touristy but very entertaining for the single male. For daytime amusement check out the Zeil - pedestrian zone - shop 'til you drop, eat 'til you ... Have fun though.

You can also go just a little North from Frankfurt, use the strassenbahn, and go to the Taunus mountains. Unique towns, still some genuine houses and villages. Then go West down the river & see the cxastles. A tour is your best bet, because then they can give you info you might be able to use later on your own.

From K.town to Frankfurt is not so far. I'm living in this summer in K.town too....
In Frankfurt you can visit, Palmengarten (botanic garden), ZOO, old Opera house, downtown for shopping, over the main river the another side, Sachsenhausen (where the famous apple vine restaurants are). It's a such a nice place look like (Little Manhattan). Have fun...

You can visit the reconstruction of the old town (recall that Frankfurt was bombed to smithereens during WW2, so everything is fake), visit the street markets in trendy Sachsenhausen, or walk around downtown and admire the skyscrapers. Some museums, and some opera/music if the timing is right. Not much in the way of nightllife. Actually, just one day will suffice.

If you have wheels, go visit castles outsided of Frankfurt, e.g. 'Ronneburg', an old, hands on castel, about 1/2 hour drive. Then there is a town called 'Gelnhausen' or 'Aschaffenburg'. Bother very nice old towns to wander through, excellent restaurants. Another nice castle to look at: 'Schloss Mespelbrunn', small place, but unique, with a moat around it, in the middle of the forest. All these places are within an hours' drive from Frankfurt.
