Well today's weather sucks, there's an awful downpour right now where I'm living. You want to bring some sensible clothes like a hooded jacket and decent shoes. But make sure you also have some lighter pieces because there are still many warm days in September, too. So be prepared to do the layering thing , that' s the best approach to days that can be chilly in the morning, warm during the day, then maybe a burst of showers, then chilly in the evening again. |

warm clothing...sweaters, a coat....jeans and shoes to keep your feet warm....stays around 10-15 degrees celcius. that would be 50-60 farenheit. |

Around Frankfurt and Koblenz, I found it will be cool in the am usually and warm and muggy in the afternoon especially along the Rhine. Bavaria around Munich, Berchtesgaden, and Fussen it will be more pleasant during the day, cooling off at night. Dusseldorf and north will be cooler. Lots of overcast and rain in the am and at night usually most anywhere. Bring a light jacket, light sweater or sweat shirt, t-shirts and short sleeve silk camp shirts are great, jeans are fine, tennis shoes or Timberlands will work. A small umbrella might not be a bad idea as it rains a lot in Germany. The only time I really needed anything warmer than a shirt was in the Alps and Amsterdam. But, then I'm from Denver and used to the cold. |

Tennis shoes, some light jacket, sweater, pens, t-shirt will be OK. Normally the weather nice in Germany round September, but right now when I look out the window it's cold and rainy. This will be the whole week like that.
Have fun in Germany it's a nice place.... |

Hi Izzie,
Definetely bring rain gear!!!!!!! I visited Germany for the first time in September, and it rained almost every single day. Luckily, I brought a rain coat so I was OK. Bring sweaters too because it can get chilly-it is so cold at night.
I now live in Bavaria, and it rains almost every day here. I am going to buy a rain suit so that when I go for walks I don´t get wet. |

I'd recommend warm and waterproof shoes and jumpers. It's a bit chilly here at the moment and we had heavy rain falls. |

It is starting to get cool. You need clothes for the fall. Depending on where in Germany you are moving to. Some places are colder than others. We really don't have seasons anymore. It could be 70 in December and 50 in the summer months. The weather also changes alot. But now it won't get any warmer come Oktober-Nov-Dec. May not be that cold. But you will need warm clothes and shoes for the fall and winter. |
