Hmmm.... Berlin. I think about having to buy train tickets! Seriously, I'm going there for a weekend in early November, and I want to buy my ticket, but my stupid school will not give me my curriculum yet, so I have no idea what day I can buy a ticket for... *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

Berlin is a great place, lots of fun, and it's got my lovely niece, so.... Berlin's lucky. ;)

I was born in Berlin in 1967 to U.S.-born parents. We moved to the U.S. when I was 3yrs.-old. I went back for a visit in 1991. If I had a choice between Hawaii and, Berlin, for where I would want to honeymoon, I would pick Berlin without question.

I lived and worked in Berlin for seven years; moved back to Bavaria then. I still love Berlin. If there's one city in the world you can fall in love with, it's Berlin. Berlin gives you two options: Love it, or hate it. I know just as many people who love Berlin as those who hate it.

Now you know my decision, go there and see for yourself.

@slodka: Berlin is much, much greater than your Köln, although I knew some Cologne people who couldn't cope with Berlin and moved back to their Rhineland village.
