I'm American married to an Englishman.....go tell him I'm delicate, lovable and beautiful.

I like the last two but reckon claiming to be delicate is likely to backfire at a later date.

I grew up in the States and live in Germany now (originally from elsewhere in Europe :) and I've always surrounded myself with different types of people. I can tell you it's hard to stereotype and especially hard to stereotype WOMEN! Hehe. I wouldn't describe most of the American women I know as "delicate" unless you're comparing them to something else (perhaps a wolf? ;). Lovable and beautiful, maybe. America is such a diverse country, it's really one of the great things about it. There's something for everyone!

My boyfriend in the UK thinks I am. But I have never asked him what he thinks of American women in general. He likes my voice but he doesn't like east coast American accents.

But this American woman was raised a lady as were her friends. And no not all Americans are overweight. Anyone who thinks that is clearly uneducated *cough cough the Walmart comment *

I do agree though with the other comments. Lovable and beautiful yes. But most of us are independant and strong.
