Trier will be a lot of fun I am sure. Make sure you see if they have a Christmas Markt in the city center. Most cities do.
Dress warm and dry and is cold there now. You will have much fun I am sure.
Try your best to learn as much German as you can even if it is just words and phrases, it will get you a lot further.
have fun!! |

Yea those pics are really great....one of my favorites places is Ireland but Germany is right up there,...my ancestry on both sides of my family are German,....my sir names are Upton and Gomez,...my grandfather was fluent in the German Language but i never picked up on it since he lived so far away......I'm a German, Spanish, Native American Indian Mix.....Cherokee and Comanche.
Again i say nice picks....I wish i was able to go back to the mother land.. I mean me being in California and all.
I know you will have alot of fun!
Hope to see your pics when you get back!
Peace

Absolutely fantastic.
I took a Polaroid picture under the Coliseum there that appears to have ghosts in it. So real I had to go back down just to look again.
This city is worth staying at least 2 weeks. |

Enjoy it! Hope you won't have too much snow, so you can see the remnants of the beautiful Roman architecture, and how they restored it. If you have a chance to take some good pictures, please share them on the internet! |

Dont forget to visit the dom cathedral. Its also the oldest city in germany. Since it is situated by the Mosel river, I suggest you try visit a small winery. The two major wine growing areas are by the Rhine and Mosel rivers. Personally, I prefer mosel wines. Bring lots of memory for your camera video cam. The scenery will leave you breathless. I was born there in a little town of Goslar in the Hartz mountains. In 1967, as Canada was calibrating its centenial, Goslar; an old emperors place, celibrated its millenium! A 1,000 yrs old! |

Trier is awsome. It even was the capital of the western part of the Roman Empire for a few years. Don´t miss the local wines!!! |

I've been to Trier several times. A great little town. It's also not far from Metz, France, or Luxembourg; I'd recommend those, too, if you have the time. There are other German towns/cities relatively near to Trier that I can recommend, too. Enjoy your visit! |
