Here's what I found from official sources:

"In 2007, Germany exported products worth 969.7 billion euro. Cars and car parts are Germany's most important export good (18.7%), followed by machines (14.3%) and chemical products (13.2%)."

Some others I found important (figures in billion euros):

- agricultural products 6,047
- food and drinks 34,957
- textiles 11,703
- clothes (ready to wear) 9,948
- paper 18,166
- metal and metal products (other than cars and machinery) 94,483
- electronics, including telecommunications and medical devices 76,795

They have everything the americans have in the states. They make great beer, and thats because they have a purity law. Germans drive FAST, very fast, and really push there cars hard. So cars that are made in germany are very strong. But A BMW, and VW that you buy in the states is not the same. They are making them now in the states becuase there is such a large market, its cheaper than shipping them over. I have lived there for 3 yrs, and the products are normally better than what you can find in the states! They dont normally make cheap products that will fall apart after the first use.

Well Germany exports more goods and services than any other country in the world - it is just as big as Florida; yet the beat the US, Japan and China here.

Look at the numbers of Alwin. But they do hide something --- our greatest success is exporting industry plants.

Oh my goodness, another stupid question!
When I read this question it sounded to me if Germany was a tiny country somewhere in the middle of nowhere...

May I remind you that Germany invented the car engine and a couple of other things such as mp3-players.
Grundig, Braun, Dual, Blaupunkt, Siemens, Bosch, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Adidas, Puma, Levi's, Zeiss optical stuff, Stihl chainsaws .... I could go on and on. All of them are/were Germans or German inventions. Ever heard of x-rays? They were dicovered by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen.
Germans also were successful in medical things.

Machinery - germans export rate is headlined (beside cars) by machinery like printing equipment.

Peek into a print shop and see the manufactors: Heidelberg Druckmaschinen, MAN Roland and KBA. All german (even your daily newspapers are printed on german printing machines for 99% - and you money also, btw).

Iron, steel ( are exported) vehicles (BMW etc. ), chemicals and pharmaceutical products (Phoenix AG, Bayer), machine tools and electronics (Siemens), also computer software such as SAP. Food stuff's could also be included such as beer but very suprisingly althought agriculture is very big (wheat and barley fields)- you can make your own discussion as to whether to include that as a product. It does really stand out as a major food supplier

For all those who disagree, do some research if you don't have a clue.
