Where are you??? if you are in Argentina, the 25/05/1810 is the day when the Argentinian town rise and reach his independence, but it wasn't formal
The formal thing happened 09/09/1816
Both are two important dates for Argentinian people |

The Germans have many of their own special holidays. I learned that when I was stationed there for three years in the Army. They are a vibrant people that need very little reason to have a party or celebrate with a festival. The festivals are incredible too.
They also believe that people should not work on Sunday. It is the day of rest. Most places won't be open on Sunday's either. |

Ascension Day commemorates the ascension of Jesus into heaven (Acts 1:6-11) following His crucifixion and resurrection. During the forty day period after His resurrection, He preached and intermingled with his apostles and disciples.
According to tradition, it was first celebrated in 68 A.D. however there is no written evidence of the Ascension Day feast until about 385. Today it is celebrated mostly by Catholics and Anglicans. It is one of the six holy days of obligation wherein mass must be attended. |
