Its 220. This is only because it supposedly better for heating devices and heavy appliances. Just like i in the states. You get 220 to run washers and driers. I think it's kinda dangerous. The cheese sandwich making thing in my kitchen like exploded because of the high voltage. Cheese anyone? lol.

Hi, its 220 Volt and 50 Hertz. You need different plugs, look at Radio Shack p. Example.
If you take electric device with 110 Volt you need a converter too.
