You should travel to Stuttgart, its a great and wonderful city ;)
And travel to Saxony, maybe Leipzig or Dresden, that are also nice citys. |

Berlin!! It's a beautiful city and the greenest. There is a lot to do if you like the nightlife, but we also have lovely museums, botanical gardens and a huge zoo... you will not get bored. |

Berlin, its where the former east meets the west. There's some top museums and art galleries. The bar/club scene is booming. What more could you want? |

Hamburg is Germany´s boomtown - its fastest growing city, its melting pot, its shopping capital .... art, entertainment, museums ...
Duesseldorf and Cologne are also interesting
Avoid Berlin - too many hate crimes. |

Well, since I am from Duesseldorf....of course, Duesseldorf!!!
Since it is close to Cologne, you can visit both.
Skip Frankfurt...... but do see Berlin.
Hamburg... last. |

Berlin is definitely the best out of the lot. second best is Hamburg, then, Cologne, Frankfurt and last of all Dusseldorf |

Choose Köln or Berlin.
Actually these are the biggest and most important city to be visited:
Köln, Berlin, München |

From the cities you've mentioned, Berlin is definitely the "best" one to visit. It has many attractions and museums, things to see.
I would put Cologne second, Hamburg third, and Frankfurt last. |

My dear Julie...
Well.... Berlin is a : MUST SEE!!!! Hamburg as well (the harbor is gigantic & interesting to see) - Düsseldorf and Cologne are soooo close together, that you can easily combine the two !! Frankfurt is not all that far away from Cologne (a good hr. drive will take you there) - All these cities are worthwhile to visit, because they all have lots of cultural aspects to offer you!!!
Maybe you'll come down the "Mosel-river",,,to my home : Trier, which is only 11 Km away from Luxembourg & I'll show you Germany's OLDEST city!!! Check it out on the map!We have lots of ancient roman structures in the city... if you like history, that's the place for you!!!
Send you lots of greetings from Germany.... Annette**** |

I would have to say Berlin....there is so much to see!!! there are plently of parks to walk through...you can see the many churches with their amazing architecture...you can see the government buildings from hundreds of years ago...you can go up the alexanderplatz tv tower and see the whole city...you can see all the stadiums that the FIFA cup used a couple years ago...you can climb up this tower with an angel on top and see all the trees that surround berlin...you can see where the berlin wall once stood...you can see the brandenburg tor and think of all that had occured there...you can stroll through the shopping areas and find cute items such as clothing souveniers etc...you can eat the best ice cream you can ever imagine...so i would say berlin is the best
Frankfurt has nice exhibits as well, just not nearly as many as berlin...
Hamburg has only a nice downtown area...the rest are shipyards and the like...if you go around the hamburg area there are plenty of nice beaches..
so the best city would be berlin...thats just my opinion...i hope this helped
mine liepling stadt ist berlin (my favorite city is berlin: the one sentence i learned while in berlin hahaha) |

Out of Frankfurt take the train ( 1 hr) to Fulda, the beautiful old town with the city-castle and the cathredal and the Michaels-Church (2nd oldest in Germany).
Many street cafes and restaurants in the old part of the town.
You will like it !

It depends on what your looking for. Every major city in Germany has and outstanding attraction. You've got to jump into the Internet and survey which location has the most all around points of interest to you. 2 years in each city on your list "might" be enough time to tour "The Father Land".
Keep a diary. It will bring back some wonderful memories for years and years as you grow old and grey (smile). |
