What is the german alphabet and Pronunciation?

I want to know because i am writing a story about a little boy who is a horse lover but his parents sell his horse behind his back and when he finds out they tell him that the horse was no good, long story short the boy turns into a horse butcher until a young woman comes and saves him. I can't seem to find a name for the boy so if anyone can tell me what the german alphabet and Pronunciations are then that would be great thanks :D

There's been enough written about the German alphabet; you might be interested in the two German horse commands I know:
"hü!" means "move!", and
"brrrrrr!" means "stop!" or "slow down!"

I'd call the boy "Martin". First of all, the name is known and easy to pronounce in English, too, and the name comes from the French "marteau" meaning "hammer", which can also be used for a butcher's axe. (Actually, the name has Germanic roots, but I'm not a linguist.) -- The French word "morceau" sounds similar and is probably related; it means, "a bite".

There's also the legend of St Martin who was willing to share with the poor, and he was a horse rider, too. See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin%27s_Day

Can you work upon that information?
