What is the weather like in Bavaria (Spessart) in September?

I'm planning a wedding in Germany in September of next year. I am hoping to have it outdoors, but this will require a day without rain. What are the chances that I will have a weekend without rain in the area of Mespelbrunn in mid-late September 2008?
Additional Details
In the US, people can generally consult a farmer's almanac to get an idea weather. Is there something similar for Germany?

I live in Germany and I have to tell you the weather here changes drastically. And it is very hard to tell how weather's going to be in September next year. I couldn't even tell how it would be September this year:) Last year we still had about 80-85 degrees in September, but the year before it was actually pretty nasty. What you could do is check the weather forecast next year shortly before coming over:
http://www.donnerwetter.de/
On the top left you type in the town/city you want to find out the weather for. The temperature is shown in celsius, but here's a conversation chart:

Good luck!

Redneckgirl and fliege52000 are correct; in that part of Germany, in mid- to late- September, it's usually still quite nice; last year it certainly was. The Spessart area is particularly pretty. Still, it can change quickly and it can still rain... in that part of the country last year, June and especially August were rather cool and rainy, while July, September and October were quite nice and summery. I'd err on the side of it being nice... but be prepared for inclement weather, regardless of the time of year.

Hi Sandra,

I am an American citizen tha lives here in Bavaria (Lindenberg, close to the Lake Konstance), and let me tell you, it rains here A LOT. Please make sure you have a plan B for your wedding-somewhere that you can go indoors if it rains.

I would use weather.com/weddings. They have historical weather, averages, a sunset calculator and a honeymoon planner. I hope this helps and good luck!
