Guess, the "hotspot" in Germany is Berlin. Our capital is just worth-seeing. If you want to, just make such a guided tour...Hamburg is also really beautiful. Oh and the clothes...don't worry, they only wear these leatherpants in Bavaria and so, just wear what you want. If you're going to the North, there are also some amusement parks such as Heidepark Soltau (thinking of your son lol). Oh, and what's also great is Dresden. The center of the city got restored by now and it's just stunning :))). The Frauenkirche is quite a touristic attraction, you get a really good view on the city from the top.
Just check the websites of the cities to get more infos if you want to. Have fun on the trip! |

Cory I don't want to be rude. But I would suggest to invest some coins in a Lonely Planet travel guide Germany. It is very informative and you can use it while on travel. www.lonelyplanet.com |

Berlin for sure! Don't worry about what you wear because Berliners are the sloppiest dressers in Europe. Give me thumbs down, but I have just returned from Vienna and people dress better there.
Brussels in Belgium is also v. hip, v. cool.
I cannot really answer for France. The coast of Bretagne looks stunning and Paris is probably the liveliest. |

It depends a little bit on what you want to do in germany.
I would definately say visit Berlin.
I have been there and know people from there and being in germany without visiting Berlin is like visiting France without Paris ;-)
i have been in Paris and I would visit this city if you have the chance.
But Berlin is not as near to france like some people think, so it depends on the length of your holidays.
And if you have a car or travel by train, plane etc.
Cologne f.e. is nearer and also interesting.
The seaside in France is a place I would go to and for example Sylt in Germany is interesting to visit, it`s an island an has chalk cliffs.
Completely different from Berlin.
The clthes you should take with you...well it is getting a little bit warmer, sometimes you can wear a t-shirt, but since a week or something and on the seaside or in the evening it can be colder.
So I would take some shirts, some sweaters, two kinds of jackets (1 for cold,1 for not so cold days), shoes like sneakers or something like this (would be better if waterproof) and for France sandals or Flip-Flops.
It is hard to give you a good advice when it comes to clothes, I am in Germany now and right now is the time when the weather is not really stable.
Might be that it will be sometimes hot here (for spring) or it might get colder again and rain a lot.
So try to take several things with you and combine them.
I hope this helps more then confuses you lol. |
