Black Forest in German is Schwarzwald
It's in Baden-Württemberg, which is the South-Western most state in Germany.

Arel is right. Schwarzwald= Black Forest is located in Baden-Wuerttemberg near the border to France and the border to Switzerland and is also known for its Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte= Black Forest Cherry Cake.

If you would like to know which city is near- that would be Stuttgart (larger city in the south west of Germany or Freiburg Karlsruhe and Pforzheim,
but Karlsruhe, Pforzheim or Freiburg are smaller cities than Stuttgart).

Freiburg is a nice, little city if you are going to visit the Black Forest you can visit that city too. http://www.freiburg.de/servlet/PB/menu/1140679_l2/index.html
