Lucy, I'm German and I lived and worked for three years in Munich. Dachau is a small town right outside of it. From Stuttgart, it will take you about 4 hours on a train. The distance is around 200 km (125 miles). From Munich, the distance is about 18 km (12 miles).

Steve b
Dauchu, not spelled correctly (Dachau) is the one you are thinking of. Its closer to Munich, less than an hour north of Munich

Dachau.

Pronounced Dahk-ow

Dachau and then further North in Thuringia, Weimar you have Buchenwald as well.
