Hi folks, I'm from south-east Germany, Bavaria, and I can confirm that it started snowing TODAY, Oct 20th. Just the first snow of the year, and it's gone again, as the snow changed into some rain and then sunshine, but winter has arrived!
I don't know at which altitude Baumholder is; we're around 600 meters above sea level here, and at this height, snow around Halloween is something quite common. This doesn't mean that there will be snow in December; it can be a completely rainy month. It may have lots of snow also. German weather is hardly predictable. |

It can start to snow in Baumholder as early as Sept. However it is not located in SW Germany. It is located in Western part of Germany between Frankfurt and Luxenbourg City. It is almost 2000 feet in elevation and nsow comes on a regular basis by November but doesnt always stay on the ground.
