Where can I buy a rug like this in Germany-please do not say Ikea?

I went to Ikea, and some of their stuff was junk. Is there somewhere close to Munich you can buy home things?

Ikea is a big huge company from Sweden and have stores almost all over the world.
If you like to buy rugs from Germans you need to go to Kaufhof, Karstadt, Hertie or you look on the Web:
www.otto.de
www.neckermann.de
www.quelle.de
www.heine.de
also look in go ogle just type "teppich" and they are showing all kind a stores.

Try the "XXXLutz", Theresienhoehe in Munich (thats right next to where the Octoberfest is situated). I believe they have some 25.000sqmtr where you can find everything for your home. Supposed to be one of the largest in and around Munich. Saturn is right next door if you need electrical household equipment. Also you can just enter moebelhaus munich into Google.de to find an assortment of shops. Sometimes "Who's perfect" in The Landsbergerstr has interesting offers. They carry products with minor injuries. Also Check out the Euro Industriepark (Ingolstaedterstr.) Enter the park on the left hand side (where the MacDonnalds is) when driving towards Munich centerfor a variety of furniture and rug&carpet stores. Good luck!

Möbel Kraft, Hoffmann, Dodenhof.
And, of course, there are always the carpet merchants from Arabia and Asia, but their carpets and rugs are of such high quality that they cost a fortune...

Here's one. If you click on Anfahrt you get directions:

And here some online shops:

:: well im not down ther in Munich but you could look around for MOBEL MARTIN . thats an excellent store for carpet . rugs. bedroom sets . home accessories . paintings . dining sets . everything . thats my NUMBER ONE CHOICE. also . if you just walk around in THE CITY. there would of course be a nice little carpet or housing store . i see them everywhere here downtown . id expect the same thing there

If you want the Ikea look, but better quality, you may ant to try habitat. You'll find that many things seem similar (would be fun to guess who steals whose ideas), but habitat uses better materials and its products are more "made to last".

Hope this helps!

A rug like this? What rug like this? Go to "Kaufhof" in Munich, but take lots of money with you, because the "Euro" is much stronger than the Dollar.
