In my bookshelf I have a book called "Main Landmarks of European History" (for the Preliminary Certificate Examination). It has black and white maps of Europe in 814, after the fall of Constantinople, 1648, and 1815.

Alas, by virtue of it being published in 1906, it cannot give you 1939! However, if any of this is of interest to you, the author was F. N. Dixon, B.A. and it was published by Univeristy Tutorial Press Ltd, London.
