In the U.S., you can get tickets to Australia for a third the price in their winter months (their seasons are the opposite as ours) compared to their summer months. It's also cheaper if your plane takes off on a weekday rather than a weekend. |

"cheap" depends on the season you intend to fly. You'll get cheaper flights if you book a long time in advance. If you need also a hotel and / or want to rent a car you might save money booking a package, maybe go to a local travel agency specialising on australia.

I have some friends who are flying from Hanover to Hobart, Tasmania, and their tickets are outrageous ($2200!). I imagine that from Frankfurt to Sydney, however, you might be able to find less expensive tickets. For such a long flight, I strongly recommend going with a travel agent instead of trying to do it yourself -- you'll more than make up for the $20 or so fee for the agent by the hassle and inconvenience you'll avoid! Besides, travel agents can often book further in advance and can hook you up with special deals that are just plain not available from online booking services. And if the airline changes something last minute, the responsibility is with the travel agent -- far less chance of sleeping in an airport in Chennai or Singapore!

use search engines on the internet or go to an travel agent which are familiar with programms to book flights.
they can help you.
i was looking for myself... it can cost around 1200 for a roundtrip.
be sure you take a good airline because it is not really good to have a bad one for such a long flight.

try the travel agents with emirate airline, singapore airline etc. or try websites like www.lonelyplanet.com. or just go to google or yahoo and typ for search, cheap flight tickeys. pick the best you want. |
