Berlin. It's a great city. I lived there for seven years and would recommend it to anyone. Lots of museums, exhibitions, cruises on the river Spree, parks to have a barbecue... -- I think there's fun for everyone, children included. And excellent public transport; you won't need a car to go places.
Oh, and if you see the zoo: Say hello to Knut, the polar bear. But also visit the Nutrias, my most beloved animals. They're small, they're social, and they're more cute than Knut... |

I recommend the Moselle Valley, which is where the wine grows in Germany. The area is beautiful. You can rent bikes, go for hikes, and stay for very reasonable money. The valley is lined with castles.
Bavaria and the Black Forest is nice, too.
I don't know if I would spend much time in a big city with 2 children, maybe a couple of days. But nature is much better for the little ones.
There are a ton of fun parks, too. They offer much more for children than Six Flags. By the way, the cheapest flights are into Frankfurt. |

Hamburg is great. There is lots to see, a beautiful place for children and adults. We have a great zoo, lakes, rivers, theaters and museums. Most of the time it doesn't even rain there during the summer time.
If you have more questions, let me know. I will be happy to help. |
