Where is this road.................?

i read about a road in germany that i would like to go to, but i dont know its name.

i think its about 70 miles long, it has an 8 foot fence along the side to prevent wildlife from running across it. it is virtually deserted (memory hazy, but i think because it is an ex-military road). there are also 4 lanes.

oh, and no speed limit ;)

thanks

the autobhan is like saying the motorway or highway etc. and the whole network is not unrestricted speed.

this is not AN autobhan.....

The ... Autobahn ? .... Weirdest question of the day award

Ok, so it's one of the Autobahnen we have, but your description will unfortunately make it impossible to identify the exact stretch, because all of them look more or less like that.

Actually, there is a stretch I can think of, but I am pretty sure it's not what you mean: There is an old military area in the middle of a nature reserve in Hamburg, called Tunneltal.

I can't find any pictures of it on the net, but that's the only thing I can think of. I think there might be several of them throughout Germany though...

What are you talking about?

In Germany we don't use "miles" and "foot/feet" but Kilometers and Meters.

There are autobahns all over, but in certain weather conditions they do have speed limits, which are shown on digital boards above the highways.
