Where is your favorite place in Germany to go to?

Is it a city or a location more than a city?

My favorite place in Germany is my garden!;-) The town I live is nice too but really small so as a contrast I like large cities like Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich. I also like the mountains...really impressive and the coast is beautiful! There are so many nice places in Germany so everyone should be able to find favourite places.

The Black Forest. It's so pretty, and there's loads of things to do in the general area (theme park, animal park, etc).

Anywhere in Bavaria! The people are far more friendly, and there is plenty to see and do.

Weimar ThĂĽringia for the 1999 Cultural City of Europe.

It was awesome,

it is where Ghoethe is from if you know Faust!!

I go there every year for nearly twenty now.

Many parts are great though!!

My favorite place to go is a specific hillside in the Bavarian part of the "Rhön" national park. Gorgeous view, always a little windy, green green grass... gorgeous.
Or: Anywhere in WĂĽrzburg, Germany. Anywhere with a view of the "Festung", that is. Preferably while holding a glass of frankonian wine in my hand...

Oh, I know, I'm spoiled... ;)

Koeln, definitely! It's more than just the city. It's the city's history, the feel of it, the people... just the whole atmosphere of koeln is so warm and friendly, you can't help but fall in love with it.

Plus the Dom is beautiful... <3
