CleverGal
Gouda, Edam and Emmental all originate in countries other than Germany. Gouda and Edam are from The Netherlands and Emmental is from Switzerland. The other cheeses mentioned by the first poster are suitable though.

Probably TOE cheese, since the public transporation systems nowadays with the World Cup REEK of body odor. They were bad for this in the 80s here, but now they are back to their unhygienic ways!

Besides German Gouda, Butter cheese and Edam, classic German cheese specialties include Allgau Emmental and Allgau Bergkäse, Weinkäse, Romadur, Münster, Steinbuscher, Weisslacker and Tilsit as well as the “typically German” sour milk cheeses (like Bauernhandkäse, Harzer Roller or Mainzer cheese) and diverse processed cheeses.

Edam is the best of over 150 German cheeses
