That depends which country you come from.
Passport is necessary if you are from outside EU if you are British citizen id card or even driving license are ok.
US, Australia,New Zealand Passport is OK for a stay of up to three months. For a longer stay and for a lot of countries from Africa Asia and Latin America you will have to aply for a visa.

Depends on where you come from. Most places outside of the European Union a Passport is suffice. Within it a EU ID or Passport will do. If you are from a third world nation you should check into if you need a Visa or not, even Australians may need them even though they are not a third world nation, but because they have very strict import and export laws.

So just check with your local embassy and they can tell you, most have websites too!!

If you do go, make back ups of them and in a separate place than your originals in case they are lost or stolen there you have copies to easier have them replaced to get Home on time. You E tickets where you can, less chance of losing it!

If you Drive have an international license just in case for no confusions and know their driving laws and pedestrian laws!!

Most important have fun and try to speak German to them they really like it when people at least try!!

it depends what country u came from.. what kind of visa u applied for. natürlich passport.. check the german embassy site in your country.. God bless..

If you are from the EU you will need just your passport. If not then you need to contact the nearest German Embassy to you and they will inform you of what visa or travel documents you will need. Good luck.

Depends what your citizenship is. If you a European or North American most likely all you need is a passport for a stay of up to 3 months. Check with the closest German consulate in your country.

It depends upon the kind of visa you need. If you are coming for studies, you need passport, acceptance letter from a German University, educational documents from your home country, and you have to open a bank account in Germany to submit the required amount for your one year living in Germany. If your coming as visitor, then there is visa waiver program for certain European countries, Canada, and USA. You can stay 3 months free without visa, later you need it. If not visa waiver country then you need invitation from Germany to visit it. Good luck
