yes obsessively! haha! seriously...
me and my boyfriend were looking for a cheap city break a few years back. we hardly had any money and ended up in berlin. we weren't overly enthusiastic at first as we wanted rome, paris, barcelona, etc...
but we got a shock & fell in love with the place. it was especially great for me as a history lover.

in the end we were devastated we only had 4/5 days there!!! planning a trip back there as soon as we can!

Katie in Germany
I'm German and I was never in Berlin I wont to go so much but I have no friend in Berlin and I have to little money for hotels.

A really nice and interesting city! When I was there first there still was the wall and East & West Berlin seemed like 2 complete different citis! Then I visited Berlin again last year and you can't see much difference where East and West Berlin was...everything is fantastic there now!

I come from Berlin and am a little sad that I don't live there at the moment (moved away for my studies). I absolutely share your enthusiasm! In think at the moment Berlin is one of the most vibrant, exciting and also affordable cities in Europe and I am happy that many non-Germans also think so. I think the World Cup also contributed to a more positive perception of Germany and the Germans in other countries. It's about time we got a new image;-)! Have fun in Berlin! Best, Alexandra

That song in the movie Bent about the streets of Berlin sung by Mick Jagger brings tears to my eyes.
