Who knows how it is like to be in germany? The only places that I have traveled to is CA which is my home.?

Germany is very nice. There are lots of things to see and a great deal of castles to visit. While there are a lot of people who speak English, it would be helpful to learn a little German. You will find as Long as you act nice, people there will treat you friendly. One place you have to go is to Heidelberg, the castle is beautiful.
As for eating, I was there in 1997, I am not sure of today's rates, sorry. But know that things like water, ice and bread are not free at restaurants like in the US, you have to pay for them. So be careful what you ask for.

I am a german girl living in germany.

There are some nice places to go.. like Heidelberg with its castle, Berlin (great nightlife), Cologne (the fourth largest city after munich, hamburg and berlin)...Cologne is well known for its celebration of Cologne Carnival and the Gay Pride events.

Frankfurt is a really nice city either. kinda multicultural city with europes largest airport. It also is a financial and service centre of global importance.

Mostly everybody at the age from 15-35 is rather good at speaking english. Older people know the basics of the language either.

Why in the world did you pick germany to ask all these questions about? I actually lived there for 8 years because my mom was stationed there in the Air Force. I was 5 when we moved there and 13 when we left. FIRST: HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO LIVE THERE.... It feels great! The land is clean of litter (people have respect for the land), the towns and landscapes are beautiful, and there's always great little places to stop for a snack or cold drink on your walks. WOULD IT BE NICE IF PEOPLE CAME THERE.... I'm not quite sure on the question's meaning: If they came FROM there to the US, I don't see why not, but they have no reason to. If you man to VISIT germany, then yes it's a great place to go to. It's in the center of Europe so you can see much of Europe easily. WHAT IS THERE TO SEE: The land, the towns, the people, the food, the culture. It's just taking a break from the hustle and bustle of American life. HOW MUCH RESTRAUNTS BILLS ARE: Obviously they will vary, but they are about the same as America (in Euro's value relative to the US dollar), BUT the food is much much better!!! Since your 12 I guess your family is thinking about going? I'm 18 now and I miss it so much, so I say if your thinking, stop thinking and go.

Germany is a great place..... was there with my family for 5 months in 2002 in Dusseldorf....beautiful city......very friendly people.....on many occasions they went out of their way to help us....the best way to know a country & its people is to travel by road.....which we did extensively......on one occasion while returning home from a trip took fancy to a picturesque village we were passing through and just decided to stay overnight in a quaint village inn.....would love to go back one day to see all the other places we missed out!

I was born there. My parents stole beer steins from an octoberfest celebration and hid them in my stroller. The only time I've been back there was when I went through the Munich airport this year on my way back from Italy. It was very efficiant.

In Germany is really wonderful. The people are very nice and friendly. You can visit Berlin (East and West part), for example. And about the bill in the restaurants - it depends from the category of the restaurant.

Its awesome!! Ive been there twice. Well, the summers are warm, kinda. the winters are usually accoumpanied by open fires and mulled wine. the people there are great, really helpful. there is natural beauty, especially in bavaria ( a region of germany) because of the exchange rate, eating out is a little more expensive, but not much.

it's been 4 years since the last time i've been here. i wish i could visit more often.
my german is a lot better now too.

I was in Germany for a few days. It was very nice. They speak English quite well and have a variety of things to see and do. Most of the places were very welcoming. I mostly staying in small youth hostiles. They treat you more like their own family there. Gasthaus Lamm was on of them.
I felt like I was in a small neighborhood in Wisconsin. The weather was silmilar, the peolple as well. They are very alike also in the food and drink that they serve.
If you are looking for landmarks or just scenic views, there is much to choose from. They have very very busy parts of their states but also very quiet places. There are also new and old parts of town (the old being my fave!) I loved Heidelberg. They have a large castle there. The cost of food is not unlike the states. A candy bar is 1-2 Euros. A McDonalds meal is about the same but I think you have to pay for catsup(or maybe that was italy?)
If you plan on going, go to one of the southern states in the spring. It was very beautiful there.

I lived in Germany for 6 years. and would have loved to live there my whole life. Germany is amazing. Beautiful. romantic. great structers. the people is beautiful, great travel system. good friends. i love germany. and miss it deeply.

OK first off germany is like the best place in the world....my dad is in the miltary adn so we got stationed in germany.....i love it here so much....heidelberg is definetly is a beautiful place...there are lots of really cool stores to shop in....im 13 adn i hvae already gotten to experience this...come to germany if u can....and try to see a castle lighting if u cant hey r way cool

It is very pretty there. I lived there for a year when I was 17. I lived in a town called Friedrichshafen in the southern part. It is on a beautiful lake called Lake Constance (Die Bodensee in German). when I would walk by the lake I could see the Swiss Alps and the towers of a castle. Sometimes we walked by the walls of the castle when we walk through the forest. It was beautiful. There were 2 very pretty towns on either side of us too. One called Lindau that was like a bright villiage from the middle ages. It was so pretty and colourful that you could picture knights and ladies walking through it. Also they don't allow cars which is even better. The other town was Meersburg and it had one of the oldest castles in Europe, also a pretty town. There were many other pretty places around there that were very old. I have never seen any thing like it anywhere else and I live in Denmark now. Many people also go to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. It is very pretty. Germany is a very pretty country and a wonderful place to visit. It was also a wonderful place to live. Some times I felt like I lived a long time ago. It is sometime expense, especially at restaurants but the bakeries are very, very good and a good price. I hope you get to see Germany one day, I am sure that you will love it.
