Because they are the most racist nation in the world

Rudolf
Did you ask any German?
it is the German media who like Obama the average German doesn't care who is president of the USA.
We might slightly prefer Obama to Mc Cain since G.W. Bush was not liked in any country outside the US

The wars that your country(government) starts affects us too.
And at least iraq war only boosted terrorism.
Even your intelligence service says that.
That hundred thousands innocent iraqis had been killed by US-army is also not ok or actually just a huge crime which must be punished,

And at least i regard both as puppets. Not more.It is only a question of time when another Bush will come.

(btw.Inform yourself about the history of the taliban.Pretty funny)

They don't prefer Obama over McCain, just as Americans don't. They like the idea of Obama just as we did. What does anyone really know about Obama? As we are seeing now the liberals are in sticker shock as they realize that he will carry on with most of President Bush's policies.

Marites M
Not only Germans prefer Obama over Mc Cain, but also in other countries and it`s because many people wants the word CHANGE, and this makes Obama very popular in Germany, Obama is young and it`s okey if people give him chance to show if he can makes changes unlike Mc Cain he is already old and most Germans says he is the same with Bush.

dwpaugh
Same reason Americans do?

Because McCain is linked to Bush and Bush is member of Bones & Sculls and since you know so much about Jews you should know what this organization got in common with the nazis. not that I wanna say we had two facsist leader during the last twenty years but...

It's because us Germans think Obama is better for the world, and actually take interest in the well-being of other nations.
And we make great cars.

I think it has to do with the idea of Obama being in office, then the American system will fall. And the German car companies can take over Ford, GM, and Chrysler. They have seen the dictatorship that has been going on over here with Bush for 4 yrs, then Clinton for 8 yrs, then Bush for 8 yrs, then Obama who has ties with the Clinton's now-for at least another 4 yrs.....that 24 years of a dictatorship and they have seen the American system fall as we are seeing. Now I live in California, and every other car nowadays is a BMW or a Mercedes or a Jaguar. Imagine if these three companies are all over the California area like they are right now, how big of a corperation they could have if they ran the American car companies.....The number one selling car is the American car.

I think that they are looking for there power back that they once had before we officially separated from them in 1776 and now they want to try and regain that power back. Who wouldn't want to be the strongest country in the world???

Especially when your country is essentially the mother country of the most powerful country of the world.....

Most liberals talk politics in Germany. Most conservatives vote. The elderly people will be a very determining factor in German politics now and into the future.

Germans do care about America healthcare and retirement plans. They like to point out when their German programs are better. I cannot speak for other countries other than Germany and USA. Germans like to measure themselves against the Americans. Maybe that will change in the future. A lot of young people came to see Obama. A lot of old people stay home and go to vote in Germany. Germany, unfortunately, is made up of a lot of old people today. Many young families have seldom more than one or two kids if they have any kids.

Since the last Iraq War startet, the US-GE relationship was a little frozen. The Germans hope now for an bettert relationship to the United States. And an other important Thing is that in Germany, the Press is tendicious more Left/Democratic, but the Germans at all tend to be more Conservative.
