Swapan, The Dream
At least in India it never happens, however as you have placed the question under TRAVEL section may be when you are traveling and tired and also thrilled with beauty of Indian nature - our mind can do such mistakes !

Go back home and take rest it will be OK. Then you would be able to calculate - 2+1=4

It's not possible. Equals four.

(false) fallacy?

Joe B
I've seen the mathimatical "proof" of this before, but i can't remember exactly how it goes. The one thing I remember is that there was a flaw in the argument, there was a point where you would have to divide by zero, which is not possible.

One possibility is that you could create your own ficticious number line that goes 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. In this case, not only would 2+2=5, but 2+3=6 and 2+4=7. Depends what you are going for here, but with all the BS that mathmaticians create to solve problems (they actually use the square root of a negative number all the time and call it an imaginary number), there's no reason you can't create your own math.

Well, actually,

It all depends on your defintion of TWO! *laughter*
