Well Caroline, u didn't mention anything abt ur plans.... means u have already decided to visit some places or what.... so, it is very difficult to suggest an itinary for only 5 days... u can't think of visiting India in mere 5 days.... but since u r coming here the.... never miss Tajmahal (Agra), Qutab Minar, India Gate, Red Fort, Humanyun Tomb, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, Jantar Mantar, Garden of Five Senses, President House (all in New Delhi), Palaces and other historical monuments in Rajasthan..... as these locations are closely knit and can be covered in 5 days, so u can plan it.... otherwise there are 100s more location and places to visit....:):):)
All the best for ur trip.
If u need any particular information, can communicate wid me. And yes, don't miss out on indian food, it has lot of variety and flavor....:):) yummyyyyy!! |

Hai - its raining and flooding on the west coast and in the north - you wont enjoy with jammed roads - clogged trains and delayed flights.
However try the golden triangle - agra - delhi - Jaipur - you wont regret that. |

5 days are not enough to visit India. So you just take one of the four options below:-
Northern India
Southern India
Eastern India
Western India
Each part of India has its own beauty. No part of India can be compared each other. Northern India has cold climate with the great himalayas, Jammu and Kashmir and Darjeeling.
Eastern India has Maharashtra. Western India has Assam with its tea plantations.
Southern India has Kerala and Tamilnadu with its unbelievable greenery. When you take this option dont forget to visit Munnar and ooty. |

You can't see all of India in 5 days, so focus on one part of India, like 1 or 2 states.
Watch out for monsoon-hit areas this time of year.
Rajasthan is always colorful, though hot and water starved, this time of year. You get a good idea of the past glories of India there. Jaipur has lots of forts.
New Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal) and Amritsar (Golden Temple) and central-northern areas are good for a 5 day trip, as travel between these cities aren't difficult or lengthy trips.
Kerala is also a good option, with its greenery and wildlife. |

Want to see the 'famous' places then the answers are correct. Want to see equally good 'unknown' places then there is a long list. depends on your taste, on where you land, how do you travel. But if history is important then head north / west. Even central India. Be prepared for some 'shocks' if its your first visit. |

Well I dont know wht is ur budget. all it depends on ur budget. u can spend ur 5 days in india with 1000 Rs to 100000 Rs.
if u have budget problem then go for any religious place, like Vaishno Devi, Haridwa, Shirdi etc. etc.
if u dont have budget problem then go for palace on wheel. but they r charging 80000 Rs. for a week on Twin sharing basis. but its really amazing and marvelous. U will feel like a KING in this train. |

Depends on where you are landing! Delhi, Mumbai, etc.In such a short time long distance travel is hard to arrange. A good taste of a small part of India will amaze you. Try to do too much and you will be "sick". Wherever you go India will enchant , challenge and humble you.Check out these websites as starters and build a tour around your entry port: Your hotel will be a good starting point for tour info.
