Climate
Hot tropical weather with variations from region to region. Coolest weather lasts from November to mid-March, with cool, fresh mornings and evenings and dry, sunny days. Really hot weather, when it is dry, dusty and unpleasant, is between April and June. Monsoon rains occur in most regions in summer between June and September.

Western Himalayas:
Srinagar best from March to October. July to August can be unpleasant; cold and damp in winter. Shimla is higher and therefore colder in v inter and places like Pahalgam. Gulmarg and Manali under several feet of snow (December to March) and temperatures in Ladakh can be extremly cold. The road to Leh is open from June to October.

Required clothing:
Lightweight to medium weights from March to October. Warmer wear for winter. Weather can change rapidly in mountains and it is therefore important to be suitably equipped.

Northern Plains:
Extreme climate, warm inland from April to mid-June falling to almost freezing at night in winter, between November and February. Summers hot with monsoons between June and September.

Required clothing:
Lightweight cottons and linens in summer with warmer clothes in winter and on cooler evenings. Waterproofing essential during monsoons.

Central India:
Madhya Pradesh State escapes very worst of hot season but monsoons are heavy between July and September. Temperatures fall at night during winter.

Required clothing:
Lightweights most of the year with warmer clothes during evenings particularly in winter. Waterproofing during monsoon rains.

Western India:
November to February is most comfortable, although evenings can be cold. Summers can be extremely hot with monsoon rainfall between mid-June and mid-September.

Required clothing:
Lightweight cottons and linen most of the year with warmer clothes for cooler winter and waterproofing essential in monsoon.

Southwest India:
The most pleasant weather is from November to March. Monsoon rains between late April and July. Summer temperatures hot as high as Northern India although humidity is extreme. Cooling breezes on coast . Inland, Mysore and Bijapur have pleasant climates with relatively low rainfall.

Indian Festivals: Diwali
This is perhaps the most well-known of the Indian festivals: it is celebrated throughout India, as well as in Indian communities throughout the diaspora. It usually takes place eighteen days after Dusshera. It is colloquially known as the "festival of lights", for the common practice is to light small oil lamps (called diyas) and place them around the home, in courtyards, verandahs, and gardens, as well as on roof-tops and outer walls. In urban areas, especially, candles are substituted for diyas; and among the nouveau riche, neon lights are made to substitute for candles. The celebration of the festival is invariably accompanied by the exchange of sweets and the explosion of fireworks. As with other Indian festivals, Diwali signifies many different things to people across the country. In north India, Diwali celebrates Rama's homecoming, that is his return to Ayodhya after the defeat of Ravana and his coronation as king; in Gujarat, the festival honors Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth; and in Bengal, it is associated with the goddess Kali. Everywhere, it signifies the renewal of life, and accordingly it is common to wear new clothes on the day of the festival; similarly, it heralds the approach of winter and the beginning of the sowing season.

Lands wide spread. Depends on the part of India which you are in. It is the seventh largest country geographically in the world.
Climate too is relative. Most of the India depends on the rainfall because of South West Monsoon which are created due to the blockage by the Mighty Himalayas. North east monsoon also contributes to the significant rainfalls.
Most of the country gets only sufficient waters and also waters are also quite scarce in many parts of the country. So water is considered quite precious in India. You have water parks in metros and few developed cities, not everywhere you go!
There are four metro cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, and Chennai. Other important cities are Bangalore, Hyderabad, Trivandram etc.
India is regarded high for it's unique culture. The culture emphazises on a disciplined and controlled life. Indians, by general, stick to their first marriage throughout their lives. They tend to be extremely loyal to their life partners. Also India enjoys strong family culture. Children and parents live together till they die. Parents, by general, select the life partners for their children. The life partners are selected by parents on the basis of their religion, caste, horoscopes and finally beauty. Children abide by parents' decision on the life partners.
India has a strong historical relation with music. Different type of music exist to different parts of India. In North India, the traditional music is known as Hindustani Music and South Indian traditional music is known as Carnatic Music. Also there are different types of musics in addition to these.
They have different kind of dances. They differ from state to state like Bharatha Naatiyam for Tamil Nadu, Kathakali for Kerala etc etc.
Indians eat their traditional food. They are classified into North Indian and South Indian primarily. North Indian foods have wheat as their primary source and some of their foods are known as Roti, Chenna Masala, Paneer Masala, Samosa etc.
South Indian foods have rice as their food. Some of their foods are known as Dosa, Idly, Vada etc.
India is a strongly culture oriented country. Indians adapt any kind of situations easily due to the tolerance that they develop in their country. They have strong faith in their religions. They are quick learners by birth.

Geographically - varies from north to south. North, you find snow in the Himalayas. To the north east too. Western part like Rajasthan is dry and desert. Eastern part is humid like in Bengal area. Central is also dry in some places and cool onthe plateau. Then south it is warm and template. In the central region is the plateau. So city like Bangalore is comfortable almost all year round.

Water Park? I have never seen any in India, but there are waterfalls I've been to. It depends which part (State) in India you are.

People - ladies look like Miss World and guys some look Mediterranean, to very dark skinned. And so is wealth, not quite in between. Though middle class people are now increasing to around 200 million, according to some estimates. Language varies from State to State. Remember India is a sub-continent. You'd find Chinese looking Indians in the very north-eastern part of China in states like Majoram, Manipur....Hindi is dubbed as the national language but not widely spoken in all the 26 states. Still English is the lingua-franca. if you want know more, read my article here :
http://www.geocities.com/fte65/indian.html

Music - local music and it depends which state you belong to due to difference in language. Hindi music is common (also movies). Also western music is common to some youngsters.

Food - also varies from State to State. Basically staple is rice and roti (flat round bread made from wheat germ flour). Curry is common, it is a broth made from grounded spices and has strong aroma. Some Hindus are 100% vegetarians.

Culture - Indians share some basics like their women all wear saree and also churidar. Other than it varies again from State to State and religious adherence either Hindu, Muslim or Christian. In Kerala state, there is a small number of Jews in Kochi.

Well...
