Highest rating is 5 star any where in the world . The rating of 6 and 7 star is just a publicity stunt. Only one hotel in dubai is known for the 7 star status in the world.You have most likely noticed that any hotel youâ€™ve ever stayed in proudly advertises their â€œstar rating.â€ Most hotels in the United States operate on a five star or diamond system and hotels are judged based on their locations, services, accommodations, and amenities. Unfortunately, the worldwide travel industry has not been able to formalize a standard system within which to judge hotels.

This lack of professional standards means that some hotels run on a different system than others. While most countries cap their hotel rating systems at five, some use six or seven star ratings, claiming to be the homes of some of the most beautiful and prestigious hotels in the world. There is currently only one seven star hotel in the world, but there are a handful more under construction. The Burj Al Arab
Construction on the Burj Al Arab in Dubai began in 1994 and was modeled after the sail of a famous Arabian ship. The appearance was created by using teflon-coated fiberglass and white materials that resemble a mast when viewed from a distance. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece. The foundation was constructed on an artificial island and the hotel is home to the worldâ€™s tallest atrium. While the Burj Al Arab likes to believe it is the worldâ€™s only seven-star hotel, it is officially known as a five-star deluxe hotel on the standard star system.

Yes India have a seven star Hotels i.e Raj Villas Hotel, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

why would you like to waste your holiday in India in the first place? don't bother that there is none in India.
There are much nicer places for sightseeing and or relaxation.

there are only 3 seven star hotels in the world . and none of them are in india . there is one under construction , though . the pentominium , the grand chola , chennai .

locally , people assign stars to any hotel . in fact , while visiting mumbai , i read in a pamphlet that the taj was classified as 9 star , when it is barely 5 star .

I do not exactly know if they r 7 star hotels but they are world renowned so they are surely good and I have myself have stayed or had dinner there so I have had the experience
