Nice place to stay and enjoy. They have both 7 and 5 star hotel to stay with very good food quality. If you are group of around 500 or 1500, their catering dept will take care for your food, if you conduct your biz meeting there in their gardens or in their halls. I hope Film City is the only place which has wonderful facility to handle people in large numbers. Very nice gardens and well maintained too! |

Ramoji Film City (RFC) is the world’s largest integrated film studio complex, at nearly 2,000 acres. It is also one of Asia’s most popular tourism and recreation centres. Opened in 1996, it is located about 25 km from Hyderabad, India. Established by the Ramoji Group, RFC offers comprehensive and international-standard pre-production, production, and post-production resources for film makers.
RFC offers over 500 set locations. Twenty international films, and nearly forty Indian films can be produced simultaneously in the complex. It has attracted not only filmmakers from southern India and Bollywood, but also producers from Hollywood. The RFC infrastructure includes: custom-designed locations & mock-ups, set construction, properties & costumes, shooting stages, cameras and equipment, audio post-production, digital post-production / SFX as well as film processing.
Every year, over a million tourists visit the complex creating revenues in billions of rupees (INR).
Ramoji Film City has ousted Hollywood studios to earn a place in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest film studio complex. Within the premises of the fim city are a three star hotel-TARA and a five star hotel-SITARA for the tourists as well as for the film production units. |

ok here's what i know.
it's pretty far from town. and it's a whole day trip. meaning from morning to say, 4:30-5 pm. but a good trip all together. there are restaurants and things there. you get a bus ride through the entire place, with a tour guide in hindi, english and telugu. they show you all the sets and things. then there's a stunt show, a comedy show, and some other entertainment. the mughal restaurant's pretty good. there are quite a few gardens, really beautiful if you have the time you should visit them all. there's a labyrynth and everything. theres a huge fountain too. then there's this garden looks like a fort from the outside and a palace from the inside or something of the sort. don't exactly remeber. ramoji';s a fun place. a must see in hyderabad. make sure you take a cap and lots of water along. it's usually very hot. some snaks would also come in handy. wear comfortable shoes. u have to walk quite a bit.
hope this helped!!
have fun! |
