you can go to Ooty....from there Coonoor that is an awsome n untouched place(remember Chaiya-Chaiyaa song..its picturised there...u can travel on same line in train...then dodabetta..highest hill in that place.. Western Ghats meets Eastern Ghats there...from there Mysore is also near....Ucan also visit nearby Bandipur National Park...ooty choclates n tea plantaion is added attractions...
also u can go Kodaiakanal..beautiful place...Yercaud is also a good hill station.. Pondicherry is a good beach palce.
u can go to Chennai n then Mhabalipuram from there.... secluded beaches.. ancient temples .. some rock climbing and magnificient 1000 yrs old temples....snake parks etc all in all excellent place |

salem-yercaud- on third day
trichy and tanjore on fourth day and back to chennai . i have given all things like religous, tourist attraction, hills station,waterfalls but you should have a vechile otherwise you cant enjoy my advance wish for a happy journey |

Are you looking for religious tourism or just a holiday trip? Apart from Ooty and Kodaikanal, you can look at Yercaud which can be reached from Salem. If it is religious tourism, then stay in Kumbakonam and visit Navagraha temples around Kumbakonam. You can consider other suggestions too. |

Ooty is the best place. You can spend almost three day to see all the sights. From there you can go to Anaimudi. Or you can choose Madurai, Coutralam, Thirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Rameswaram etc. |
