These were, let us hope, isolated incidents. However you are absolutely right, the general public must not stay quiet and must help nab such miscreants. Also exemplary punishment must be meted out in a fast, time bound manner so as to spread the message that such incidents will not be tolerated. It is about time we Indians especially our men, change their mind set. We must educate our children to respect women. This has to be taught at every level right from the village to the metropolis.

You make it sound like India is the only country in the world where rapes happen. And Indian are so sexually depraved that all we do is lust for women, and to be specific "foreigners".

Are you aware of the crime scene in New York, or maybe Los Angeles or how about Johannesburg, the so called first world cities where single women are raped practically everyday. Have you every wondered why most of the paedophiles are from the the west countries or Europe. You people are the ones with the sick minds who resort to such sexually pleasures and even make money by posting the images on websites.

First i think indian men are sexually starved;next the cultural thing-the women who are coming from west needs to understand that they need to dress modestly any Indian city including Goa!though you can be fine in closed beaches exclusive for foreigners.dress modestly!Indians especially Keralite men will try to molest if ur alone and all!if ur dressing and manners are OK,then Indians will be very nice to you!like in India ppl thinks that you will be a whore if u dress casually showing breasts and all!so understand please!

I can't say I'm not suprised.
With all the pretty foreigners going over and with Indian chicks caring a LOT more about how they look and stuff, it's only normal that rape should go up.
But, I AM suprised that rape's increased SO much in India...I mean, India...come on. Then again, I havent been there in, like, 5 years, so, yeah...
I miss it and all my relatives there...
I'll keep watch when I go there ;)
