Yes there are female taxi drivers. I think there are 3% of female drivers in Mumbai. I havent seen any, just a guess.

Unfortunately there are no female taxi drivers in mumbai.
Taxi drivers require to work late hours & most of them sleep in their taxis itself during the night. Female taxi drivers would be easy targets for molestors. And the rise in the number of crimes against women in the city wouldn't help women to become taxi-drivers either. There are female BEST bus-conductors.
