My husband is Indian, and I am Jewish...
I do have some history in India though.
My ancestors migrated to Kerala and inner married with the Indians who resided there.
Ever heard of the Kerala Jews? This is where the two become one in my case.

I have been with my husband for 7 years now, and it has completely changed my life in many ways.
Others actually say that I am more Indian then he is because I've done such extensive studies of the culture.
I am vegetarian, cook only Indian food, buy all of my personal care products from the Indian Grocers, watch Hindi movies, go to Temple, practice Ayurveda, listen to JagJit :)
It's something I'm very happy with in my life and it has changed me emensily for the better.
I try and surround myself with the culture and the beauty of India on a daily basis....

No, but I Iove their culture. I have some books on Indian healing and how they view the spirit. It's so amazing and makes alot of sense!

Diya
Ya. I'm an Indian. Name's Diya. What more do you want to know???

Devi
yes...but its complicated...i will explain as best as i can...ok...a longggggg time ago...when the British had control over India at one point...they convinced by great great great grandparents to come to the islands(mine went to Trinidad and Tobago/Guyana-in South America) and they would get free land and blah blah blah...but when they reached they were no longer allowed to speak in their Hindi language...but were allowed to keep their religion...so my grandparents on my mom's side is from Trinidad and my grandparents from my dad's side is from Guyana...and here I am born in America...no, we don't speak Hindi...my grandparents do speak it a little...but we are still very much in touch with our Indian/Hindu culture...we go to temple, watch Indian movies, eat Indian food(carribean style though), wear Indian clothes, etc...and you'd be surprised about how many Trini/Indians and Guyanese/Indians there are in America...especially in Florida(where i live)...
