Hi I am from Goa. North Goa has a lot og Budget hotels w/ Swimming pools. Try looking for Hotel Ronil in Baga which is a good quality hotel with superb amenities and clean pool where one can stay with family without fear. The food at this place is authentic and cleanly prepared. Take this advise from a local who lives in mapusa.

ALPHA VILLE HOTEL, STAYED THERE ITS CHEAP HAS A POOL STAFF ARE NICE, BUT ITS BEEN A FEW YEARS SINCE I STAYED THERE, BUT WHERE VERY CHEAP, BARGAIN. OR TRY THE HOTEL OPPOSITE. A BIT SMALLER, BUT JUST AS NICE AND FRIENDLY. COMING FROM PANJI. TURN LEFT AT THE ROUNDABOUT IN CALENGUTE
