Hi Raychel,
Bangalore is quiet a cosmopolitain city, and we would not have tigers on the streets (Cows, Dogs, cats .. yes.. Tigers, Lions - no). However, if you are visiting Bangalore and want to see tigers, your best bet is to go to Banerghatta National Park, which is about 45 minutes drive from Bangalore. It is a Safari park, where you can go on a tour through the part seeing the animals in a semi natural environment.
Another possibility would be to go to Bandipur National Park (which is about 8 hrs from Bangalore). Here the tigers would be in a more natural enviroment, however it is quiet tought to get to and not very organized (you would be expected to rough it a bit)
Hope this helps.

Heya Rachael! Banetghatta wildlife park has amazing tigers! I was there last week and the tiger safari trip got us as close as possible to the tigers! there lots of them...not just a couple! U can see them from inside a safari van almost 2 to 3 feet away! if ya wanna get closer to them then you can always take a walk outta the vehicle! ha ha ha...just kidding!
And then, there's also this place called Nagarhole...approx 200 kms from Bangalore on road to Coorg! Last winter, We went on a midnight safari (illegally...with a ranger from the forest department!)! Believe me...this is really scary! I saw a male tiger hardly 6 to 8 feet away from our jeep and the best part is our jeep was a roofless one Onlt thing between us and the cat was the headlights! You wanna get a closer look than this? That too in the wild??? Naaaah!
