Bangalore?!?

Are there tigers in Bangalore India?

If not where else do they roam in India?

Also what Indian city has the most tigers?

Hi Raychel,
Bangalore is quiet a cosmopolitain city, and we would not have tigers on the streets (Cows, Dogs, cats .. yes.. Tigers, Lions - no). However, if you are visiting Bangalore and want to see tigers, your best bet is to go to Banerghatta National Park, which is about 45 minutes drive from Bangalore. It is a Safari park, where you can go on a tour through the part seeing the animals in a semi natural environment.

Another possibility would be to go to Bandipur National Park (which is about 8 hrs from Bangalore). Here the tigers would be in a more natural enviroment, however it is quiet tought to get to and not very organized (you would be expected to rough it a bit)

Hope this helps.

Delhi city has the biggest congregation of old tigers and lions when parliament is in session.A couple of them are rare albino tigers from Italy.

Um.. first of u don't find wild tigers in Indian cities.. if u were do it is in a zoo.

If u want to see tigers check out Ramthambore Park in Rajasthan. It is a sanctuary for tigers..

In Bangalore there is a National Park named as Banerghatta Natianal Park where you can find couple of tigers. But if you want to find the true wild tiger then there is Nagarhole and Bandipur in Karnataka

Heya Rachael! Banetghatta wildlife park has amazing tigers! I was there last week and the tiger safari trip got us as close as possible to the tigers! there lots of them...not just a couple! U can see them from inside a safari van almost 2 to 3 feet away! if ya wanna get closer to them then you can always take a walk outta the vehicle! ha ha ha...just kidding!

And then, there's also this place called Nagarhole...approx 200 kms from Bangalore on road to Coorg! Last winter, We went on a midnight safari (illegally...with a ranger from the forest department!)! Believe me...this is really scary! I saw a male tiger hardly 6 to 8 feet away from our jeep and the best part is our jeep was a roofless one Onlt thing between us and the cat was the headlights! You wanna get a closer look than this? That too in the wild??? Naaaah!

Hope this helps!
