Bangalore!!! It has the best weather in India.
It's also got lots of career opportunities esp in the IT and related industries.
Bangalore is also a much nicer place for women to live (don't know if you are a woman .. or maybe you have a wife). Delhi has a bad reputation for men's attitude towards women, and so most women can't move around very safely or freely without fear of being sexually harassed. Which is a shame - after all it is our capital city and I can't believe that it can have such a backward and sexist attitude.
On the downside, Bangalore traffic is awful (but then all cities these days seem to have this problem!), and of course, there's the pollution (again, all cities .. but it seems to aggravate asthma because of the pollen too).
But Bangalore has its charm .. lots of tree-lined avenues, good schools, not as cosmopolitan as Mumbai (but so far, we Bangaloreans are not attacking people from other states so I guess we have a bit more maturity!) and although I am sure Delhi has a lot of cultural activity due to the international flavour from all the embassies, Bangalore too has a good amount of cultural activity, whether it's music, theatre, etc.
And my personal opinion: I love living in Bangalore, and have decided I don't want to live anywhere else. |
