go to kerala state like guruvayure, kochi etc., to see elephants and beaches

in Guruvayur there in no entry for non hindus in the temple but u can see lots of elephants

i suugest you to go to Manali or Leh if you like wnow and hills.

and if u like summber beach i suggest you to go to Goa.

Plan to spend 1 week in Andaman & Nicobar islands. You will not forget the virgin nature. You can reach Port Blair by air from Chennai (better), or Kolkata.

And, I'm sure you will not only get elephants to see & ride, and great beaches to enjoy, but also simple Indian food if you enjoy that.

I travelled there in 1999, and I rate it best because I found, (i) it's not crowded; (ii) it's pure, virgin nature; (iii) you can really relax on a beach without any interruptions on a quiet afternoon; (iv) it's very safe place - we did not even need a locker. I think good time would be between Feb-Apr, before monsoon starts.

Kerala in the mainland would also be great to see to meet your expectations.

i have been to ooty in south india. drive from ooty to mysore is just breath taking - u will find elephants in bunch walking beside road. nice drive for 4 hours approx. a++

South Indian tour would fulfill ur & ur companion's requirements. Bandipur forest rest house if booked in advance to watch elephants & other wild life & Bandipur is on the way to Tamil Nadu, which has many worth while site seeing places especially temples, beaches & good veg. & non veg. south indian food.

Hi from Jeba kumar. My best idea is South India Places to see Elephants and spend time at a beach. In South India we have some great places for that such as Tekkadi Wild Life( Kerala) and Mudumalai forest(Tamil Nadu) for Elephants, and we have some beautiful Beaches in South India such as Varkkala Beach(Goa) and Mamallapuram, Kovalam(Tamil Nadu) and Alleppy(House Boat).
So i think this is the better choice to see Elephants and spend time at a beach.
