For the 1st week of April, places in India could be, if you exclude water sports from your requirements, you may go to Nainital, Dalhousie, Darjeeling and Sikkim (Gangtok).

For water sports, but with a little warm weather yet good for honeymoon, Goa could be another destination. Still better and altogether different destination (experience) for the purpose could be Lakshadweep Islands by cruise.
