I am an American with a ten year visa to India, but I need to leave India every six months to get my passport stamped. Can I cross the boarder into Pakistan and return on the same day without a previous visa for Pakistan? Many countries allow tourists to enter the country for a short period without a visa. However, I might have two strikes against me already -- being American and traveling from India. Would it be dangerous for me to try this? I really do not want to spend time in a Pakistani jail.

u can try to some other neighbouring country like Nepal...
Nepal has more Loose immigration laws for tourists..that can be a feasible place for u to visit... specially if u r in Delhi then the distance will be almost the same to both the countries.this is all wht i think u are off course required to check for the proper immigration rules for both countries..

friend, u r given visa to travel to india by indian embassy in usa. that is not for pakistan. why don't u contact pakistani embassy in usa about that. plus, it is illegal to enter any other country without proper authorization. being an american it should not be a big deal for you to travel to any other country legally. what if anything happens in pakistan while u r there? how usa is going to know ur whereabouts? it's better if u contact proper authorities before taking any such step.
