You will need an International license to drive in countries where you visit.
For this you have to go to the transport Dept at a place that issues you a driving license. You need to carry all sorts of documentations / copies of it too.

No, actually for driving overseas a person need to apply for driving license that is accepted internationally.
International driving licenses are issued from various zonal offices. The validity of this permit is for one year. You are required to get your licence from the country your visiting within one year period. Following documents are to be produced at the time of applying for a International driving license :-
Valid driving licence issued.
attested copy of address proof.
attested copy of Birth certificate
Valid passport
Valid Visa
Fee of Rs. 500/-
Two passport size photograph.
The International driving license is issued from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM from the Concerned Zonal Office

no u can not. u need to take a international driving permit (IDP) which is very easy to get u only need ur passport copy 2 similar passport size photographs and and the copy of the driving licence. and pay the amt thats it.
