So i think a white girl will also look amazing in a sari.
It also depends on the colour.. mostly Saris generally used in India are brightly coloured or have big patterns and since western clothes are not usually like that, it seems a little strange... cos the colours and patterns seem even more pronounced on lighter skin.
But a suitable pastel light colour and wearing i well will make a white girl look good in a sari.
