Most Indians think I am very pretty. In fact, some people say I look like Katrina Kaif, just not as tall. For one thing I am very fair. recently a movie called luck by chance. Not sure if you have seen it. There are many actresses who can not act yet they are making movies, and then I am sure there are many who excel in acting yet they just don't get a break.
These days Bollywood really seems to be filled with star kids, models, pageant winners. It is so rare to see someone who doesn't have any connection. Almost everyone has someone!
If you are really serious about it go after it. Who knows you might make it. I want to become a writer and director someday. I write well and I am creative. But I worry if I will ever make it.

If you are confident of yourself and think you can act and keep yourself cool even under severe pressure then give a shot with Modeling first. There are lots of agencies looking for fresh faces. You would surely be noticed and picked up. Beware of opportunist who can take you for a ride. Keep your head on your shoulder and walk ahead.

I'm not sure where you're living but here in London there are a couple of Bollywood academies run by screen legends, eg. Anupam Kher and Subhash Ghai. Because they're part of the Industry, if you've got it they'll get you there eg. Hritik Roshan, Abishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are all testimonials on Anupam's 'Actor Prepares' site.
If you don't live in London, maybe you could just come to do the course and see how you go? Good luck.
