Y not!

If we all Indians work together for our country, I think no need to wait till 2020. Instead of showing finger tip towards others saying, he/she did this-that, if each individual work sincerely to his/her country, I'm 100% sure that we can. By paying tax, following rules and regulation, discouraging corruption, electing good leaders, adopting good education system (and very important, providing education in Childs mother tongue), etc may be few thing which we all Indians has to follow, which will help to achieve this goal.

I'm not Indian, but India is developing very fast especially in Medicine and Technology. I don't see why not.

Yes, it sure can. India is developing at a growth rate of 9-10%, has a large population of youngesters committed and truthful to them selves, to their society and to the nation and that is the biggest asset.

What we need to stop is corruption and what we need to have more is electric power. It is this combination that can truely launch this country into the commity of developed nations by 2020..

I am sure that India will become a devloped country, but all the essential commodities easpecially for life items must be imported from other country.

As Reuters columnist James Saft aptly says: "The World, his wife, their milkman and the neighbourhood stray cat are all going strongly for emerging markets"...........India happens to be leading the pack as a stable, fastest growing economy ( after China which is an unknown quantity) So yes India can become a developed country by 2020!

surely india will be one of the devleoped countries by 2010 only if the corruption in the country reduces.
Instead of blaming the government officials / politicians for all the corruptions that are happening; each and every individual in the country should discourage corruption in any means.

I THINK INDIA CAN BE OR MAY BE NOT BECAUSE OF CORRUPTED POLITICIAN AND THEIR CONTROLLING OF OUR ADDMINISTRATION.
