Can someone tell me a cool palce to travel from Delhi in weekend?

Frankly, most hill stations are about 7/8 hours or more by road from Delhi. A few off-beat places near to Delhi and reachable within 4/5 hours drive are:

Pataudi Palace in Pataudi village, Haryana. This beautiful palace of the Pataudis is in Haryana and just 70 kms. from Delhi - 25 kms. from Gurgaon. If you are lucky you may be able to see Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Sharmila, Saif and Soha Ali Khan - they still use this ancestral palace occasionally. It's a Neemrana group of hotels.

Piramal Shekawati Haveli hotel in Bagar, Rajasthan. This 1928 built haveli of a rich Shekavati landlord is about 210 kms. from Delhi. Route Delhi-Gurgaon-Daruhera-Ateli Mandi- Bagar.

Neemrana Fort Palace. 122 kms. from Delhi on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. It's a real fort built in 1464 AD converted into a heritage hotel. You will simply love it. It's a Neemra group of hotels.

The Glass House at Byasi, near Rishikesh (290 kms. from Delhi)
Route: Delhi - Roorkee-Haridwar-Rishikes-Byasi
Byasi is 23 kms. up from Rishikesh and enroute to Badrinath. This resort was once the private retreat of a maharaja and set amidst a lichi orchad overlooking the Ganga river.

Nalagarh Heritage Fort Resort. It's 295 kms. from Delhi. Route Delhi-Chandigarh-Ropar-Nalagarh. Nalagarh is 20 kms. from Ropar. A very nice really cool place to spend quality time.

cool and lonely place is Kausali (HP) just 300 km drive from Delhi 50 km from Chandigarh on Simla highway Left turn just before Dharam pur, best for weekend
