if u say abt religion it is the 4 DHAMS u must visit- JAGANNATH TEMPLE(PURI), RAMESWARAM(RAMESWARAM), DWARKA(DWARKA), BADRIVISHAL TEMPLE(BADRINATH), other than them there are numerous temples, mosques, guruduwars, churches, jain temples, buddhist monasteries. |

My favorite religious spot in India is the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. I also loved Anandpur Sahib with its main temple and all the others around that city, and the atmosphere is wonderful. People are friendly towards tourists as well. |

Trinigyal, I think you are somewhat mistaken in referring to that beautiful marble monument in Agra as a "temple which is a religious place". Taj Mahal is a mausoleum. Whatever, I think it is still worth visiting. |
