Badhrinatha, Kedarnatha, Gomukh, Gangotri, and 12 of the thirteen Jyotirlingams are in India (the other, Pashupathinatha is in nepal).

SOUTH INDIA: Madurai, rameshwar, tirupaty,
BUDDHISM- It is prominent in sikkim,

ISLAM- Ajmer(rajasthan)
CHRISTIAN-Goa, chennai,
JEWISH SYNAGOG-Kochi(kerala)

You must have certainly heard of Tirupati, Shirdi, Vaishnodevi, Varanasi, Brindavan, Guruvayoor, Sabarimala and all the famous temple towns of Tamil Nadu which are certainly worth a visit in their own right, for their splendid, incomparable architecture. Then there are the Jyotirlingas, Shakti temples, Ashtavinayaka temples, Lakshmi temples etc etc etc.

if u say abt religion it is the 4 DHAMS u must visit- JAGANNATH TEMPLE(PURI), RAMESWARAM(RAMESWARAM), DWARKA(DWARKA), BADRIVISHAL TEMPLE(BADRINATH), other than them there are numerous temples, mosques, guruduwars, churches, jain temples, buddhist monasteries.

My favorite religious spot in India is the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. I also loved Anandpur Sahib with its main temple and all the others around that city, and the atmosphere is wonderful. People are friendly towards tourists as well.

Trinigyal, I think you are somewhat mistaken in referring to that beautiful marble monument in Agra as a "temple which is a religious place". Taj Mahal is a mausoleum. Whatever, I think it is still worth visiting.
